Save My Seat for October 2
You have done everything right.
You earned the degrees. You took the promotions. You showed up early, stayed late, said yes to the committee no one else wanted, and carried the invisible labor of representing your community in rooms that were never built with you in mind.
And still, something in you is tired in a way that rest alone cannot fix.
If you are a Filipina or Woman of Color leader in higher education or in any institution that asks you to shrink your voice to keep your seat, you already know this tension. You are capable, credentialed, and respected. You are also exhausted, guarded, and quietly wondering whether the version of leadership you have been taught to perform is one you actually want to keep living.
The Filipina Leadership Breakthrough System™(FLBS) was built for that exact moment. Not to teach you how to lead like someone else. To help you reclaim leadership as something that was always already within you and yours.
This Is Not Another Leadership Course
Most leadership development asks you to adopt someone else's model that is usually one built without your history, culture, or body in mind.
FLBS is different. Decolonization of leadership is a foundation of this curriculum. It is grounded in kapwa, bayanihan, and the liberated leadership traditions that Paulo Freire, Kimberle Crenshaw, and Gloria Anzaldúa gave language to and is in the wisdom of decolonial identity by Leny Strobel and concepts of Filipino psychology by Virgilio Enriquez. It is grounded in what Filipino and diasporic communities have carried for generations, long before any of us had academic words and frameworks for it.
It does not ask you to become more strategic at your own expense or more fluent in a colonial model of what leadership should look like. It asks you to lead from agency and wholeness on your terms.
Three Filipina leaders and their journey show up throughout this work:
• Maya, mid-career and increasingly asked to represent "diversity" in rooms where her actual expertise goes unseen
• Sofia, newly promoted and discovering that positional power did not resolve the exhaustion she hoped it would
• Rosa, senior in her career and quietly grieving how much of herself she has had to set aside to get there
If any part of their stories sounds familiar, the FLBS program was built with you in the room.
